1. Who we are
Illuminate Engineering Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Nigerian incorporated engineering company providing generator rental, solar and inverter, maintenance, and electrification services across Lagos and beyond. This policy explains what personal data we handle when you use our website, book a service, or contact us.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, company, email address, phone number, service location, and the details of your enquiry or booking. When you browse the site we may collect limited technical data via cookies, including device type, pages visited, and approximate location, to improve the site. We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver and support the services you request, schedule site visits, send service updates, and meet legal and contractual obligations. We may also use aggregated, non-identifying data to understand site usage and improve our offerings.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to operate the site and optional analytics cookies to measure performance. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser; this will not prevent you from using core features such as booking or contacting us.
5. Sharing your information
We share personal data only with our own staff and vetted service providers who help deliver your service (for example field engineers and logistics partners), and where required by Nigerian law or a valid legal process. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, tax and contract records). When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Under applicable Nigerian data-protection law you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, object to or restrict certain processing, and request deletion of data we no longer need. To exercise any of these rights, email info@illuminateengineeringlimited.com.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No online transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information protected.
